A brilliant way to celebrate the end of another fantastic school year! ✨ Our students enjoyed an evening at @acombcc , celebrating everything they’ve achieved this year with music, dancing, laughter, and plenty of memories to take away. It was especially lovely to celebrate our Year 11 leavers as they prepare for their next adventure at college. A day of mindfulness, reflection and discovery 🧘🌿 Our pupils had a wonderful visit to the @madhyamaka_kmc earlier today, where they enjoyed a guided tour, learned about Buddhism, experienced meditation and explored the beautiful grounds. A brilliant visit to the Madhyamaka Kadampa Meditation Centre in Pocklington today. Our students enjoyed a guided tour of the beautiful grounds, took part in a meditation session, learned more about Buddhism, and had the opportunity to ask thoughtful questions throughout the day. It was a calm, welcoming environment that encouraged curiosity, reflection, and learning. Can you protect an egg from a first-floor drop? 🥚🚀 Our students took on the Egg Drop Challenge, designing and building structures to keep their eggs safe when dropped from a first-floor window. Using creativity, teamwork and scientific thinking, they even added parachutes to increase air resistance and slow the descent. The result? Learning looks a little different here… 🐴☀️ Another fantastic week at the farm saw our students developing practical equestrian skills by cleaning and inspecting tack, repainting horse jumps, caring for the horses and even learning about local wildlife after spotting a fledgling robin in the yard. Last week, six of our students completed practice iGCSE examinations in our exam centre. They have made us incredibly proud, showing resilience, independence and determination throughout the week. Every student gave their very best, and their achievements are a testament to the hard work they have put in. A huge thank you to Elyse for organising all of the exam logistics, and to our amazing staff for creating an environment where our young people feel safe enough to challenge themselves and succeed.
